Clearly the only quality of human nature that would keep other beings from destroying us all is…
that humans figured out how to make chocolate, and then cake and, then, ultimately, chocolate cake.
Chocolate cake has many redeeming qualities!
You mean other than the chocolatey-ness and cakey-ness? What more would be necessary?

Why are we here on this planet? (And please don’t say, to eat chocolate cake)
First of all, Divya, I would never say “to eat chocolate cake.” ANY form of chocolate, cake or not, is more than enough reason to justify our existence.
The real answer to your question, however, was best given by my favorite female fictional filosopher, Goldilocks, who said it best. We’re on this planet because, “That one is too cold, and that one is too hot… but this one is JUST RIGHT!”
